Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Central Bank of Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration and the Agency for External Labor Migration under the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations, organized financial literacy training for migrant workers.

The project “Safe migration of citizens of Uzbekistan to the UK” provided for pre-departure financial literacy training for 150 migrant workers going to work under seasonal employment programs.

For the effective implementation of educational activities, a special program and teaching aids on financial literacy and financial management were developed in Uzbekistan and the UK.

During the training, special attention was paid to such topics as the stages of entrepreneurship development upon return to Uzbekistan, the possibilities of microfinance services for the self-employed and preferential lending programs.
