Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 14 January 2025, the fifth round of Uzbek-Slovak political consultations took place in Tashkent.
The Slovak delegation was headed by Marek Eshtok, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, while the Uzbek delegation was led by Muzaffar Madrahimov, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations in various areas were discussed. Special attention was given to expanding cooperation in trade, economy, investment, and cultural-humanitarian fields, as well as interaction within international organizations.
Both sides emphasized the importance of further strengthening political dialogue, including at the highest and senior levels.
An exchange of views also took place on pressing international and regional issues.
As a result of the discussions, an agreement was reached on jointly developing plans for organizing exchanges of visits at various levels and expanding the legal framework of bilateral relations.
The next round of political consultations is scheduled for 2026 in Bratislava.
