FESCO opens a subsidiary in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The FESCO Transport Group (FESCO) has opened a subsidiary in the Republic of Uzbekistan to develop logistics services in the region.

FESCO TURAN was registered on 6 October 2022 in Tashkent. The company will provide a full range of logistics services to clients in Uzbekistan, as well as in Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The focus of FESCO TURAN’s work will be directed to the operational support of the Group’s existing regular container services from the Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port (part of FESCO) to Tashkent and Angren, the new FESCO Trans China Railway intermodal service from Southeast Asia through the Chinese port of Lianyungang to Tashkent . The area of responsibility of the new company will also be the development of rail container transportation from Europe to Uzbekistan and between the countries of South Asia and Uzbekistan through the port of Novorossiysk.

At the end of nine months of 2022, the Group has already transported almost 8.5 thousand TEU to Uzbekistan, while at the end of 2021 the total volume of transportation amounted to 9 thousand TEU.

“We have been organizing transportation to Uzbekistan since 2013 and highly appreciate the potential of the country and the region as a whole in terms of transport and logistics. The opening of the FESCO Group’s own company here will enable the republic’s clients to receive a full range of logistics services in the optimal time frame, and will also contribute to the development of FESCO as one of the leading transport providers in Central Asia,” said Andrey Severilov, Chairman of the FESCO Board of Directors.
