The US specialist in cancer diseases Jo Ann Zuzhevski and leading oncologists of Tashkent participated at the event. The training was organized by “In the Name of Life” National Breast Cancer Association, UNFPA, Women’s Council, and Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.

Some 30 mammalogy doctors, cancer gynaecologists, cytopathologists and other doctors from Andijan, Namangan and Ferghana regions attended the training.

Participants discussed issues related to new technologies, modern methods of fighting breast cancers in various stages. Doctor Jo Ann Zuzhevski presented an interactive lecture at the event.

Jo Ann Zuzhevski said that she visits for the fourth time Uzbekistan to hold training on fighting breast cancer and each time she is impressed with the country. She said that such events support women both morally and physically.

In the training, the participants considered such issues as diagnosis, preventing of breast cancer, risk factors, moral-ethic aspects, etc.
