Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed to introduce a new system for organizing clusters.

In 20 clusters, local payments were violated, and in 122 clusters there was a debt to the Agricultural Fund. 27 clusters have not paid farmers money for the 2022 cotton harvest. Farmers also have debts to clusters.

In this regard, the President instructed to introduce a new system for organizing clusters and relationships between them and farmers in the country.

It is noted that in each region, new clusters will be subject to requirements for financial indicators, production capacity and technical equipment.

From now on, farmers will be able to enter into futures contracts with any cluster within the region. They will also be able to sell surplus through the exchange

At the meeting it was noted that farmers will be provided with preferential loans in the form of a 60% advance payment for growing cotton for next year’s harvest.

Responsible persons have been instructed to introduce a new procedure for financing clusters and farmers.
