Explosion at military training ground in Nukus injures servicemen

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An incident at a military training ground in Nukus resulted in injuries to approximately ten servicemen, the National Guard reported.

According to UzA, on 10 September, a practical training exercise using a training explosive device was being conducted at the site. During the exercise, a minor explosion occurred, causing injuries of varying severity to several participants.

The injured received first aid, and their condition is reported as stabilized and gradually improving thanks to the measures taken.

An official investigation has been launched into the incident. The leadership of the units is reviewing all circumstances to prevent similar incidents in the future.
