Expert: Uzbekistan, as a leader in economic growth in Central Asia, is extremely interesting for Belarus

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan, as the leader of economic growth in Central Asia, is extremely interesting for Belarus. Alexey Avdonin, an analyst at the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Studies, said this, BELTA news agency reported.

“The economy of Uzbekistan is growing very quickly, because the country shows the highest population growth rates in the last 30 years after the collapse of the Soviet Union,” noted Alexey Avdonin. - High population and birth rate growth, a large number of people determines the presence of a significant labor force. Labor is the bearer of skills and abilities that can be used to transform raw materials into goods. So, the presence of a significant part of the population in Uzbekistan, which is involved in economic processes, gives a good economic result.”

The expert emphasized that Uzbekistan is the driver of Central Asia, and it attracts the attention of not only Belarus, but also China. “China is implementing several projects together with the countries of Central Asia, trying to support them economically and technologically, and guide them,” the analyst emphasized. “In these conditions, when there is competition for the attention of countries such as Uzbekistan, Belarus understands that this, on the one hand, is a driver, and on the other, a huge market for our products, because we are an export-oriented country.”

According to Alexey Avdonin, we are interested in selling our goods because there are plenty of them for domestic consumption. Belarus must constantly find new markets, so Uzbekistan, as the leader of economic growth in Central Asia, is extremely interesting for us. Moreover, extremely trusting relations have been established between the heads of the two states. In modern politics, this means that Belarusians under no circumstances shied away from responsibility or the implementation of joint initiatives.

“We have always focused on fulfilling what we promised, keeping our word, and in this regard, there is extremely high trust between the two heads of state,” the expert emphasized. - We see how well the Belarusian delegation was received directly in Uzbekistan. Therefore, relations with Uzbekistan should be developed. This is a promising country, a promising region. There are significant resources and a large population there, but for us, in my opinion, it is important not just the supply of our goods, but also the implementation of joint humanitarian projects.”

Alexey Avdonin emphasized that Belarus is interested in joint education, projects in the field of science and new technologies, and the development of innovations in agriculture, processing industry, and mechanical engineering. “All this will provide an opportunity to further strengthen our integration, and therefore make the lives of ordinary citizens

Belarus and Uzbekistan are much better,” he stated. - By implementing such economic and investment projects, we will involve the workforce of our specialists in economic activities and earn money from it. Naturally, the welfare and wages of our citizens will grow."
