Exhibition “Treasures of Nukus” opens in Moscow
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An exhibition “Treasures of Nukus” will be opened at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow on 6 April 2017.

The organizers of the exhibition were the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan, the Karakalpak State Art Museum named after Igor Savitsky and the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts.

The exhibition will present works from the collection of the Karakalpak State Art Museum named after Igor Savitsky.

The exposition includes 13 unique works of antiquity and the Middle Ages, found in the process of archaeological research in Khorezm - in one of the oldest civilizational and cultural centers on the territory of Uzbekistan.

The exhibition also presented 24 works of decorative and fine arts of Karakalpak people and 196 works of Uzbek and Russian avant-garde of the 20th century.

The exhibition will last till 10 May 2017.
