Exhibition “The Beauty. The Capture. The Story.” takes place in London
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A contemporary amateur photography exhibition “The Beauty. The Capture. The Story.” started in London, the United Kingdom, on 6 January 2012.

The exhibition has been organized by Central Asian Cultural Centre and Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust.

“The Beauty. The Capture. The Story” is the series of works, where each photograph has a story based on its subject. The uniqueness of the exhibition is the “story captured in a split second”, presented through the prism of amateur thinking, not formatted by rules of professionalism.

Central Asian Cultural Centre was established in 2010 by active Central Asian expatriates and students in London in 2010 and is the first institution of its kind operating in the UK and continental Europe by promoting culture and awareness of Central Asia. The aim of the organization is to serve as the gathering point for the Central Asian community and for those of non Central Asian origin, who have an interest in the arts and culture of that region.

Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust is proud to host an exhibition celebrating the works of contemporary photographers from Central Asia. This will provide a platform for amateur photographers to exhibit their works and introduce the wider audience to the art and culture of Central Asia. The exhibition curated by Hana Smeeth will introduce the works of Aziza Karieva, Khurshid Raupov, Madina Turdieva, Sardor Shaahmetov and Hurshida Hamdamova.
