Exhibition of French photographer about Uzbek women opens in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An opening ceremony of personal photo exhibition of co-founder of Association on studying culture and art of Temur dynasty in Paris Frédérique Beapertuis (France) titled “Regards de Femmes” (Women through woman’s eyes) was held at Tashkent Photography House on 28 April 2013.

Frédérique Beapertuis devoted over 30 years to study culture and history of Central Asia, including Uzbekistan. The exhibition includes 53 portraits of women, which were shot during her visit to Uzbekistan.

The exhibition was organized by Fund Forum, Uzbekistan Art Academy and Tashkent Photography House.

Frédérique Beapertuis actively popularizes are and culture of Uzbekistan. Frédérique Beapertuis became co-founder of Association on studying culture and art of Temur dynasty. Currently, she is secretary-general of the organization and editor of magazine La Timuride. She participated in various events dedicated to culture, art and history of Uzbekistan. She also author of texts and photos to publications about history and culture of Uzbekistan.

The exhibition includes photos about life of ordinary women, who live in rural areas, playing girls, women, selling embroidered skull-caps, etc.
