New buses of Euro-3 stanadard will be used to serve citizens and guests of the capital city of Uzbekistan.

The association said that new buses will start to serve passengers in Tashkent within the first half of 2012. Overall, the German company delivered 73 buses of Mercedes-Benz Conecto Low Floor model to Tashkent in 2012.

On 5 March 2012, President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a resolution on financing and supply of 100 passenger buses of Mercedes-Benz Conecto Low Floor model and spare parts to them in 2012.

In line with the resolution, Toshshahartranshizmat Association and EvoBus GmbH signed agreement on supply of buses for 14 million euros.

Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan will provide loan to finance the project. The loan issued for 15 years with three year grace period.
