EVO to launch 4G LTE TDD network in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Operator of broadband wireless Internet Super iMAX (EVO brand) is planning to launch the fourth generation network 4G LTE TDD in Uzbekistan in 2015.

KT Corporation (South Korea), one of founders of Super iMAX, is an investor of the project. The volume of investments will make up US$10 million.

EVO plans to launch internet services based on 4G LTE TDD technology to subscribers in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and large cities of Ferghana Valley in 2015. The operator plans to introduce 4G LTE TDD technology to other regions, replacing current technology WiMAX.

The speed of data transfer at 4G LTE TDD network is much higher compared to other providers in Uzbekistan. This will help users to work with large volume of data via internet, play online games, watch films and listen music, etc.

Uzbekistan will become the first country in CIS, where 4G LTE TDD technology is introduced, the company said.

Super iMAX was founded in 2007 with participation of Sumitomo Corporation и KT (Korea Telecom). Total investments into company makes up US$21 million so far.

EVO offers complex wireless solutions for data transfer, which allow organize fast internet connection, local and internet telephony, private corporate network (VPN). Currently, the company has WiMAX network in Tashkent city, Tashkent region, Samarkand region, Andijan region, Navoi region, Ferghana region, Kashkadarya region, Namangan region and other regions.
