The State Statistics Committee said that Europe and Asia accounted about 97.7% of foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan in the reporting period against 97.1% in January-June 2011.
The committee stated that share of Europe in foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan decreased from 56.1% in January-June 2011 to 47.8% in the first six months of 2012. At the same time, the share of Asia rose from 41% to 49.9% in the reporting period.
In the structure of foreign trade turnover, share of American continent fell from 2.7% to 2.2% in the reporting period. Share of Africa made up 0.1% (0.2% in 1H 2011) and Australia and Oceania –0% (0%) in the first quarter of 2012.
Foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan reached US$13.088 billion in January-June 2012, or grew by 6.6% year-on-year.
