Euro-2012: Germany claims narrow win over Portugal

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Germany started their Euro-2012 campaign with a 1-0 victory over Portugal in Group B match at the Arena Lviv in Ukraine.

Bayern Munich's Mario Gomez rose to head Sami Khedira's deflected cross beyond Portugal goalkeeper Rui Patricio on 72 minutes to give all three points to Germany.

It is worth to mention that Portugal had several good chances to score and they twice hit the bar of Manuel Neuer’s goal.
