Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A new project “Expanding the capabilities of civil society institutions in activities to protect human rights, social support for vulnerable groups and environmental protection in certain areas of Uzbekistan” was launched in Uzbekistan.

The opening ceremony of the project, funded by the European Union, took place on 10 June in Ferghana. The ceremony was attended by EU Ambassador to Uzbekistan Charlotte Adrian.

According to the EU delegation to Uzbekistan, this initiative, led by the International Partnership for Human Rights and the Mekhrjon Center for Women and Children in Ferghana, aims to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations in the region, promoting greater social and environmental responsibility.

This project builds on work to strengthen capacity and resilience to more effectively protect and improve the lives of vulnerable groups in selected regions of Uzbekistan.
