At least 1,000 disasters were prevented and over one thousand rescue crews were trained with assistance of the European Commission in the region for the last six years. Therewith, the EU offers to continue support of the Central Asian countries in the sphere.

Representatives of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, the European Union and UN take part in the conference on reduction of natural disasters’ risk in Central Asia.
