Escrow transactions in Uzbekistan exceed 33,000 in April
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The number of transactions involving escrow accounts for the purchase and sale of real estate and vehicles in Uzbekistan rose significantly in April 2026, according to data from the Central Bank.
From 1 to 30 April, a total of 33,273 transactions were completed or remained in process. Of these, 19,660 were related to vehicle sales, while 13,613 involved real estate transactions.
The highest number of such deals was recorded in Tashkent, where the total reached 9,505. This was followed by the Ferghana region with 3,197 transactions and the Samarkand region with 2,912.
The regulator noted that the use of escrow mechanisms enhances transparency and security in settlements, providing additional protection for transaction participants and reducing associated risks.
