Erdoğan to Visit Uzbekistan to Attend Strategic Council of the Two Countries
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In a congratulatory letter to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of the country’s 34th Independence Day, President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced his planned visit to Uzbekistan to participate in a meeting of the Türkiye–Uzbekistan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
Erdoğan extended his congratulations to Mirziyoyev and the people of Uzbekistan, noting that over the past 34 years, particularly under the Uzbek leader’s guidance, the country has “steadily strengthened its international standing, becoming increasingly prosperous and well-developed.”
The President of Türkiye emphasized the importance of bilateral relations, highlighting that ties grounded in shared human connections continue to develop both bilaterally and through multilateral formats, including the Organization of Turkic States.
The letter also noted that Erdoğan looks forward to visiting Uzbekistan to take part in the upcoming Strategic Cooperation Council meeting.
In conclusion, he wished Shavkat Mirziyoyev good health and happiness, and peace and prosperity to the people of Uzbekistan.
