Technologies 06/12/2007 Epson opens office in Middle Asia and Caucasus
The company said the new office will develop Epson business on quite a wide territory to cover, along with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia.

Epson official representatives have been operating in the region for the last few years. Opening of the Epson official representative office testifies of importance of Central Asia and Caucasus market for Seiko Epson Corporation and Epson’s firm intention to work more actively in each of the region’s countries and co-operate closer with partners and buyers.

The Epson representative office sets challenges to develop Epson business in each of the above-mentioned at all levels – from final users to dealers, suppliers and service centres. Already now Epson has a network of reliable partners and is planning to promote further to distribution and dealer network, logistics optimization, increase of range of imported products, service centres, organization of marketing measures and advertising campaigns, co-operation with medias and state organizations.

The representative office’s head is Ito Khiroaki – the president of the Moscow-based Epson Europe B.V. office. The senior manager responsible for new office’s work is Alisher Rakhmanov who has been Epson official representative in Central Asia.

Importance of the new office for markets of Central Asia and Caucasus was commented by Epson Europe B.V. president Idje Ide: "The market of Asian region countries on the CIS area is developing rapidly. For example, sales of Epson original cartridges have grown in Kazakhstan for the last year by 200% and projectors by 164%. We see vast potential in this market and for this potential realization we need on-site support to be given by our new representative office".
