Entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and other foreign countries increased sales on Wildberries by 441%

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In H1 2022, representatives of foreign businesses from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan increased sales of products through Wildberries by 441% year-on-year to RUB 5.1 billion.

Their income grew most significantly in the segment of socially significant products: food products (sales growth by 58 times year-on-year), health products (by 28 times), personal protective equipment (masks, gloves and antiseptics) (by 10 times), stationery goods (9 times) and toys (9 times).

“We are strengthening the logistics infrastructure: we launched a distribution center in Armenia, thanks to which direct sales became available to the entrepreneurs of the country, we expanded the logistics center in Kazakhstan by 2.5 times to 10,000 sq. m. This led to an even more active transition of local business representatives to e-commerce,” the Wildberries press service said.

The active transition of entrepreneurs from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan was also a consequence of the dynamic growth in demand for products manufactured from the EAEU countries: its sales at Wildberries increased by 96% year-on-year to 18.5 billion rubles for the 1st half of 2022

Among the most popular products from Belarus are mascara, underwear and wallpaper. Of all the goods produced in Kazakhstan, teas, sweets and cosmetic soaps were most purchased at Wildberries. Popular products from Armenia are canned vegetables, jams and dried fruits. From Kyrgyzstan, buyers most often order blouses, pajamas and pet food, and from Uzbekistan - T-shirts, dresses and long sleeves.
