Enterprises of Uzbekistan to increase investment volume in 2010
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Industrial enterprises of Uzbekistan will increase the volume of investments for modernization of capacities due to own capital by 1.5 times year-on-year in 2010 to US$1.512 billion.

The Uzbek enterprises are planning to realize 192 projects on modernization and re-equipment of enterprises due to own resources with total cost of US$24.286 billion.

In particular, the enterprises will continue implementation of 101 projects with the cost of US$5.938 billion and begin realization of 91 projects for US$18.348 billion in 2010.

Uzbekneftegaz plans to attract US$391.4 million, Uzbekistan Temir Yollari - US$271.5 million, Navoi Mining and Metallurgy Combine (NGMK) - US$211.7 million, Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine (AGMK) - US$53.6 million, Uzbekenergo - US$224.9 million and Uzavtoprom - US$215.4 million.

According to forecasts, the volume of capital investments into Uzbekistan in 2010 will grow by 18% to 18.22 billion soums.
