Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Nowadays, 71.1 thousand industrial enterprises operate in the republic, of which 11.9 thousand (16.7% of the total number of operating enterprises) are in Tashkent city, 8.1 thousand (11.3%) – in Ferghana region, 7.4 thousand (10.4%) – in Tashkent region, 6.3 thousand (8.9%) – in Samarkand region and 5.6 thousand (7.9%) – in Andijan region.

According to preliminary data, in January-November 2023, enterprises of Uzbekistan produced industrial products valued at 578.8 trillion soums, the index of physical volume of industrial production by the same period in 2022 amounted to 106.0%.

The index of the physical volume of industrial production is a relative indicator that characterizes the change in the mass of manufactured products (works, services) in the compared periods.

The analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita in JanuaryNovember 2023 showed a significant excess of the national average (15,939.7 thousand soums) in Navoi region (86,101.6 thousand soums), Tashkent city (36,452.6 thousand soums) and Tashkent region (30,675.6 thousand soums)

In the structure of production, the largest share falls on manufacturing enterprises (84.2%), the volume of production of which amounted to 487.4 trillion soums.

In January-November 2023, the largest share in the total volume of industrial production in the republic was in Tashkent city (18.8%), Tashkent region (16.0%), Navoi (15.8%), Andijan (11.0%), Ferghana (5.7%) regions.

Compared to the same period in 2022, the average industrial production in the republic increased due to enterprises in the Jizzakh (107.6%), Namangan (107.3%) and Kashkadarya (107.2%) regions.

The mining industry is a set of industries engaged in the exploration and extraction of minerals, as well as their primary processing and production of semi–finished products.

The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in January-November 2023 amounted to 50.4 trillion soums, or 8.7% of the total industry volume.

Manufacturing industry – this section includes the physical or chemical processing of materials, substances or components in order to produce new products, although data cannot be used as the only universal criterion for a certain type of production.

Manufacturing enterprises in January-November 2023 produced products worth 487.4 trillion soums, or 84.2% of the total volume of industry.

In the structure of the manufacturing industry, the share of high-tech industries amounted to 1.4% (2.1% in January-November 2022), medium–high-tech - 25.1% (23.2%), medium-low–tech - 37.5% (36.9%) and low–tech - 36.1% (37.8%).

In the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises for the production, repair, installation of machinery and equipment, production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, and other finished metal products amounted to 22.4% (the index of physical volume by January–November 2022 amounted to 108.8%), metallurgical industry - 23.2% (the index of physical volume by January-November In 2022 amounted to 106.0%), enterprises producing textiles, clothing, and leather products – 17.1% (the index of physical volume by January-November 2022 amounted to 107.2%).

In the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises producing food, beverages and tobacco products amounted to 15.8% (the index of physical volume by January-November 2022 was 105.7%), enterprises producing chemical products, rubber and plastic products – 8.4% (the index of physical volume by January-November 2022 was 99.8%).

In January-November 2023, 1,215.5 thousand tons of gasoline were produced in the republic (an increase of 8.7% compared to the corresponding period of 2022), 494.9 thousand tons of cotton yarn (a decrease of 8.1%), 255.0 million liters of beer (an increase of 20.4%) and 998.6 thousand tons of flour from soft wheat and spelt (decrease by 38.4%).

A truck is a vehicle designed to transport goods in the back or on a cargo platform. In January-November 2023, large enterprises of the republic produced 3,015 trucks (by the corresponding period of 2022, the volume of production decreased by 18.2%).

A bus is a trackless mechanical motor vehicle, technically designed to carry 9 or more passengers and capable of maneuvering on the road. During January-November 2023, large enterprises of the republic produced 776 buses (by the corresponding period in 2022, production volume decreased by 31.0%).

A passenger car is a car designed to carry passengers and luggage with a capacity of 2 to 8 people. In the country's automotive industry, 104,575 “Cobalt” were produced in January-November 2023 (the growth rate increased by 15.9% compared to the same period in 2022), 9,777 - Chery (an increase of 25.3 times), 74,163 – Gentra (a decrease of 7.8%), 546 – "Spark" (a decrease of 95.9%), 79,819 – "Damas" (an increase of 21.9%), 21,724 specialized passenger cars (an increase of 16.7%), 40,744 – "Tracker" (an increase of 8.3 times) and 29,200 units - "Onix".

The car tire is the most important element of the wheel, which is an elastic rubber–metal-fabric shell mounted on the rim of the disc. In January-November 2023, large enterprises of the republic produced 712.1 thousand pieces of pneumatic rubber tires for passenger cars (by January-November 2022, the volume of production decreased by 17.5%).

An automobile engine is an engine that converts any kind of energy into mechanical energy necessary to set the car in motion. In January-November 2023, large enterprises of the republic produced 237.5 thousand units of automobile engines (an increase of 13.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2022).

A battery is a reusable current source designed for energy collection and storage. In January-November 2023, large enterprises of the machine-building industry produced 1,026.7 thousand units of lead batteries for starting piston engines (by the corresponding period of 2022, an increase in production by 28.9% was recorded).

A refrigerator is a device that maintains a low temperature in a thermally insulated chamber. A freezer is a separate appliance or an integral part of a refrigerator designed for freezing and storage. In January-November 2023, large enterprises of the republic produced 624.6 thousand units of refrigerators and freezers (by the corresponding period of 2022, a decrease in production by 7.7% was recorded).

The overhaul of technological equipment made it possible to increase the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and exceed the production figures of the previous year for the production of disodium carbonate (103.3% by January-November 2022) and potassium chloride (100.6%).

The metallurgical industry is a branch of heavy industry that includes the processes of manufacturing metals from ores or other materials, as well as metal alloys. In January-November 2023, the share of the metallurgical industry in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 23.2%, the volume index increased by 6.0%, and the volume of production amounted to 112,991.3 billion soums.

Other non-metallic mineral products include production types of mineralbased products. According to the results of January-November 2023, the share of other non-metallic mineral products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 5.0%, the index of physical production increased by 11.8%, and the volume of production amounted to 24,561.5 billion soums.

Food production includes the processing of agricultural and forest products, fishing products for the production of food, ready-made animal feed, as well as the production of non-food semi-finished products. In January-November 2023, the share of food products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 11.8%, the index of physical volume was 106.0%, and the total volume of production was 57,465.5 billion soums

Beverage production – this includes the production of soft drinks and mineral waters, alcoholic beverages made by fermentation, beer and wine, as well as the production of distilled alcoholic beverages. In January-November 2023, the share of beverage production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 3.4%, the volume index was 106.4%, and the volume of production reached 16,573.5 billion soums.

The production of textile products includes the preparation and spinning of textile fibrous, textile woven and finished textiles, the finishing of textiles and clothing, as well as the production of finished textiles, with the exception of clothing. According to the results of January-November 2023, the share of textile production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 12.5%, the physical volume index increased by 6.3%, and the volume of production amounted to 61,164.2 billion soums.

The production of clothing includes garments made of all materials, as well as all types of clothing and accessories. In January-November 2023, the share of clothing production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 4.0%, and the physical volume index was 109.8%, the volume of production reached 19,704.7 billion soums.

Production of chemical products – this includes the processing of organic and inorganic raw materials, materials through chemical processes and the production of finished products. In January-November 2023, the share of chemical products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 6.4%, the index of physical production decreased by 2.2%, and the volume of production amounted to 31,384.3 billion soums.

The production of coke and refined petroleum products is the processing of crude oil and coal into products ready for use. The main activity is oil refining, which consists of separating crude oil into components by cracking and distillation. According to the results of January-November 2023, the share of coke and refined products production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 4.2%, the physical volume index increased by 34.3%, and the volume of production amounted to 20 689.8 billion soums.

The production of rubber and plastic products includes the production of rubber and plastic products. However, this does not mean that all types of production and materials are included here. In January-November 2023, the share of production of rubber and plastic products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 2.0%, the index of physical volume – 109.8%, the volume of production - 9,671.0 billion soums.

Production of electrical equipment – this includes the production of products that generate and distribute the use of electrical energy. The production of electric lighting, signaling equipment and household electrical appliances is also included. In January-November 2023, the share of electrical equipment production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 3.3%, the index of physical production volume was 126.6%, and the volume of production was 16,095.0 billion soums.

Production of finished metal products, except machinery and equipment – this includes the production of finished products made of "pure metals - without impurities", usually stationary, in particular such as radio devices, transmitting devices, which include the production of alloys of these metals and more complex compounds exclusively for electrical, electronic or optical devices. In January-November 2023, the share of production of finished metal products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 2.5%, the index of physical volume was 104.6%, and the volume of production was 12,294.8 billion soums.

The production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers includes the production of vehicles for the transportation of passengers or cargo, as well as the production of trailers and semi-trailers. In January-November 2023, the share of production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi–trailers in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 14.0%, the index of physical volume - 113.4%, the volume of production reached 68,178.3 billion soums

Electricity supply, gas supply, steam and air conditioning include activities related to the supply of electricity, natural gas, steam supply, hot water through permanent networks - cables, pipes and water pipes. The volume of products produced by enterprises of electricity supply, gas supply, steam and air conditioning in the period under review amounted to 38.3 trillion soums (6.6% of the total industry volume).

Compared to the same period in 2022, in January-November 2023, electricity production amounted to 104.5%, thermal energy – 90.9%.

Water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal include the treatment (collection, recycling and destruction) of various types of waste, solid and liquid, industrial and household, as well as contaminated. The volume of products produced by water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal enterprises in January-November 2023 amounted to 2.7 trillion soums (0.5% of the total industry volume).

Compared to the corresponding period in 2022, in January-November 2023 there was an increase in the production of textile waste by 23.5%, services for the removal, transportation of wastewater and their treatment - by 3.9%, services for emptying, cleaning and treatment of cesspools, pits, settling tanks and septic reservoirs decreased by 24.8%.

As a result of the measures taken to expand the variety and stimulate the production of finished products, the production of consumer goods in January-November 2023 amounted to 167.4 trillion soums and, compared with the corresponding period in 2022, the growth rate reached 107.5%, the share in the total volume of industry amounted to 28.9%. In January-November 2023, food products worth 63.2 trillion soums were produced in the republic. Compared with the same period in 2022, the indicators of the average republican production of consumer goods were exceeded by enterprises of the Jizzakh region (188.9%), Syrdarya region (109.3%), Namangan region (107.7%).

In the structure of consumer goods production, the share of food products amounted to 37.7%, non-food products - 62.3%. In January-November 2022, the share of food products in the total volume of consumer goods amounted to 42.2%*, non-food products - 57.8%.

Consumer goods are industrial products used mainly for personal consumption or for other purposes not related to profit–making. In the structure of production of consumer goods of the republic in JanuaryNovember 2023, the largest share fell on the Andijan region (26.9% of the total volume of consumer goods), Tashkent city (20.7%), Tashkent (12.3%) and Khorezm (7.1%) regions.

The production of consumer goods per capita in January-November 2023 in the republic amounted to 4,610.4 thousand soums, including in the Andijan region – 13,422.2 thousand soums, Tashkent city – 11,587.2 thousand soums, Jizzakh region – 6,853.3 thousand soums, Tashkent region – 6,816.8 thousand soums.

In the structure of production of non-food products of the republic in January-November 2023, the largest share fell on the Andijan region (41.1% of the total volume of non-food products), Tashkent city (13.7%), as well as on the Jizzakh (8.9%) and Tashkent (8.6%) regions.

In the structure of food production in the republic in January-November 2023, the largest share fell on Tashkent city (32.3% of the total volume of food products), Tashkent (18.4%) and Khorezm (7.9%) regions.

In January-November 2023, small businesses produced products worth 151.1 trillion soums, the share of which in total production amounted to 26.1%. For the period from January to November 2022, the share of small businesses in total production amounted to 24.5%.
