Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During the first half of the year, 3,000 additional jobs were created in the Uzavtosanoat structure due to the implementation of new projects. The increase in production volumes made it possible to reduce the debt on cars by 2 times, as well as increase the amount of tax deductions to the budget to 3.4 trillion soums.

Understanding the importance of increasing the volume of exports, which brings foreign exchange earnings to the country, the structural enterprises of Uzavtosanoat exported products with high added value in the amount of US$307.3 million, which is 40% more than in the same period of last year. As a result of the implementation of the import reduction program for the first half of 2023, it was possible to reduce imports by US$71.7 million.

Production activity

In the first half of 2023, enterprises in the industry produced marketable products worth 25.2 trillion soums, which is 13% more than in the same period of 2022. During this period, 160 thousand cars, 1.2 thousand buses and trucks, 1.3 thousand agricultural machinery and 105 thousand engines rolled off the assembly lines.

Records

As a result of the work of the entire Uzavtosanoat team, the first half of 2023 became a period of setting new records:

39,040 vehicles per month were produced at UzAuto Motors factories in Asaka and Pitnak.

29,900 vehicles per month and 1.7 thousand vehicles per day were produced at the UzAuto Motors plant in Asaka.

11,250 vehicles per month and 450 vehicles per day were produced at the UzAuto Motors plant in Pitnak.

Cooperation with BYD

In May of this year, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev launched the construction of the BYD Uzbekistan Factory, an electric vehicle plant, which became the first joint venture of the Chinese world leader in electric vehicles outside of China, which was made possible thanks to the production achievements of the Uzbek automotive industry and the economic attractiveness of Uzbekistan.

The production facilities of the BYD Uzbekistan Factory on the basis of the Jizzakh Auto plant will be equipped for the annual production of more than 50,000 NEV vehicles of the BYD Chazor and Song Plus models at the first stage, as well as the further creation of a full-cycle car production base (CKD : stamping, welding, painting, assembly). This, in turn, will create more than 2,000 new jobs at the enterprise.

Line for machining heads and cylinder blocks of new generation CSS Prime engines at the UzAuto Motors Powertrain plant

In July, the structural enterprise of Uzavtosanoat JSC, the UzAuto Motors Powertrain plant, launched a new line for machining heads and cylinder blocks of the new generation CSS Prime engines used in the production of Chevrolet Tracker and Onix cars.

The result of the launch of the machining line was an increase in the level of localization of CSS Prime engines, as well as an increase in quality by supplying components directly to the assembly line. In the future, it is planned to further increase the localization of the engine by launching a high-pressure casting shop for the block and cylinder head. Recall that after the launch of the production line for new CSS Prime engines in December last year, the nominal production capacity of the plant increased to 415,000 internal combustion engines per year.
