He said that midfielder of Pakhtakor Tashkent Odil Akhmedov, who is currently on loan at Russian club Anzhi, attracted interest of London’s Arsenal.
He added that other London club, Tottehnam, is considering transfer of one more representative of Uzbekistan national team. Usmanov did not disclose name of player. However, local media reported that Bunyodkor’s midfielder Aziz Haydarov could attract interest of Spurs.
Speaking at the meeting with Uzbekistan U-17, leaving to Mexico for World Cup on 9 June, Usmanov added that all players in Uzbekistan U-17 have chance to play for grand clubs.
The UFF chief recalled that Uzbekistan U-17 skipper attracted interest of Monaco [French club can buy player based on his performance at World Cup in Mexico]. He added that another grand club expressed interest in Uzbekistan U-17 player and the Uzbek side provided all necessary information. Again, he did not name the player or club.
