Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Bakhtiyor Ibragimov met with Pavol Pieshtiansky, the President of the Slovak Association of Road Transport Operators (ČESMAD), Dunyo news agency reported.
Founded in 1992, the Slovak Association of Road Transport Operators unites over 200 national and international operators in the road transport and logistics sectors.
During the talks, discussions focused on the employment of Uzbek citizens within Slovakia’s automotive transport sector through a safe, orderly, and legal labor migration system.
It was noted that there is currently a demand for around 14,000 professional truck and bus drivers in Slovakia’s labor market.
The meeting also provided information on Uzbekistan’s state policy for the development of external labor migration in recent years, the benefits available to citizens in this area, as well as the activities of the Agency for External Labor Migration.
An agreement was reached to establish cooperation between Uzbekistan’s Agency for External Labor Migration and the Association, and to facilitate the participation of Uzbek delegations in international automotive transport events held in Slovakia.
