Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on additional measures to promote employment and provide permanent employment for young people.

The document was adopted in order to consistently continue the ongoing reforms to expand the conditions for entry into an independent life, the full realization of the abilities and potential of young people, assist in their employment, ensure permanent employment and receive a decent income.

According to the decree, in the period from 1 May 2023 to 1 January 2025, employers (with the exception of budgetary organizations, state enterprises, legal entities, in the authorized capital (capital) of which the state share is 50 percent or more, as well as payers of social tax at the rate 1 percent) the amount of social tax paid by them for employees not older than 25 years is fully reimbursed from the State budget.

At the same time, the amount of social tax is reimbursed on the condition that young employees carry out continuous labor activity for six months, starting from the seventh month.

Reimbursement of the amount of social tax is carried out through transfers allocated to the off-budget Pension Fund under the Ministry of Economy and Finance from the republican budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2023.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance, taking into account that the social tax report is submitted monthly no later than the 15th day of the month following the reporting period, with a cumulative total, when forming the State budget for 2024 and 2025, the planned expenses for reimbursement of social tax amounts to employers in the first quarter of 2024 and 2025, was instructed to envisage a separate line of expenses.
