Emergency Department of Tashkent launched an investigation into the delay of the rescue team in the incident with the unattended child

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Department of Emergency Situations of the city of Tashkent is conducting an internal investigation against employees responsible for the timely arrival of the rescue team to the incident in Yashnabad district of Tashkent. This was stated in the management statement.

On 23 May, in one of the multi-storey buildings located in the Tuzel-1 massif, Yashnabad district of Tashkent, neighbors heard the cry of a 4-year-old child who was left alone in the apartment without supervision of elders. Before the arrival of the mother, the child was reassured by the neighbors.

It is reported on social networks that rescuers did not arrive at the scene of the incident.

“Now an internal investigation is being carried out against the employees responsible for the timely arrival of the rescue team at the address from which the appeal was received. The check was taken under the control of the head of the Emergency Department of the city of Tashkent. Disciplinary measures will be taken against the perpetrators,” the Tashkent City Emergency Department said in a statement.

The department noted that the duty unit of the Emergency Department of the city of Tashkent receives from 400 to 600 applications per day from citizens who are assisted by rescuers in a variety of situations. The fact that the rescue team did not arrive in time for this call is an extremely rare phenomenon, the department added.

“Taking this opportunity, we ask parents not to leave their small children unattended by their elders,” the message says.
