Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) - The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Ukraine is examining reports from the Ukrainian General Staff about the presence of Uzbekistani citizens among the Russian army in Horlivka.
According to the Ukrainian side, Uzbekistani citizens arrived in Mariupol for construction work, but their passports were seized, and they were mobilized as volunteers.
The Uzbekistani Embassy in Ukraine has sent a request to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine regarding this matter.
The Embassy emphasized that this issue is under constant monitoring by the diplomatic mission. "If the information provided by the Ukrainian side is confirmed, all necessary measures will be taken to protect the interests of our citizens," stated the embassy.
