Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The embassy of Qatar has opened in Tashkent. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi. 

The launch of the diplomatic mission of Qatar in Uzbekistan will undoubtedly contribute to bringing our relations to a new level, expanding the horizons of mutually beneficial cooperation, accelerating trade and investment interaction, as well as ties between our peoples.

“We are glad to meet with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar  Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi in his second homeland. We highlighted the positive dynamics in bilateral relations and focused on further strengthening ties based on the common heritage, values and significant opportunities that our peoples have. We also welcomed the results of the political consultations held today between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries, as well as our cooperation on issues of regional peace and stability. We are convinced that all the agreements reached today will serve to enrich our relations both in bilateral and multilateral formats,” the Uzbek Foreign Minister noted.
