Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Eltech Industrial technology park is being created in Uzbekistan in accordance with the Presidential resolution from 10 January 10.
The main task of the technology park is the development of “high-tech electrical equipment of a new type” and related components.
The new technology park will be based on the infrastructure of the Ohangaron Tech Industrial technology park in Akhangaran district of Tashkent region, which initially functioned as a scientific and technological cluster specializing in the production of copper products with high added value.
The area of the Eltech Industrial technology park will be expanded by 214 hectares to a total area of 352 hectares.
Eltech Industrial technology park is planned to be managed with the involvement of an international consulting company with experience in the field of technological development.
Work to provide the technology park with engineering and communications infrastructure will be carried out as part of the program for the development of social and industrial infrastructure for 2024.
In addition, provision is made for the allocation of non-agricultural plots for the creation of branches of the technology park in Urgench and Ferghana.
Also, 2 hectares of land in Sariasiysky district of Surkhandarya region will be transferred to the category of industrial land and other purposes for the production of kitchen hoods.
Tax and customs benefits provided for participants in special economic zones also apply to technology park participants.
Currently, two companies are registered in Akhangaran district technology park - ENCO Group and United Cable-Co.
