Overall, Uzbekistan will be represented by 53 athletes on 15 types of sports. In 2011, Uzbek athletes claimed 29 licenses in 2011 and 24 more licenses in the first five months of 2012.

Athletes from Uzbekistan will compete in such sports as wrestling, boxing, heavy athletics, canoe and kayak, judo, rhythmic gymnastics, etc.

Head of Uzbekistan Olympic Committee Malik Babaev said that the first group of athletes will head to London on 20 July and main group will fly to London on 24 July. He said flag of Uzbekistan will be raised at Olympic Village on 25 July.
