Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The election of the head of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will be held in Athens during the 137th Session of the organization, which is scheduled for 12-13 March 2021.

This was announced by the IOC Public Relations Director Christian Claue.

The current head of the organization is the German Thomas Bach. Earlier, he announced that he was ready to run again for the post of head of the IOC.

The deadline for nominations is 30 November.
