Uzbekistan06/02/2008Egyptian Assistance FM visits Uzbekistan to hold talks
The Egyptian delegation held negotiations with the senior officials of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, Uzbek Foreign Economic Relations, Trade and Investments, Uzbek Health Ministry and other state bodies.
The report said the delegation discussed issues on developing and deepening mutual beneficial cooperation between two states in various spheres.
Tamer Khalil noted that the Egeptian sideis interested in boosting trade-economic cooperation with Uzbekistan. Egyptian official said his country is paying great attention to the sixth session of the Uzbek-Egyptian commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation, which will take place in the second half of 2008 in Cairo, Egypt.
Khalil said the countries can develop cooperation in pharmaceuticals, chemical industry, agriculture, textile and construction materials industries. Assistant Foreign Minister said the cooperation in education, science and culture, as well as in tourism is important factor in strengthening bilateral relations between two nations.
