Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Eduardo Escobar has been appointed as the Ambassador of Chile to Uzbekistan. The new Ambassador was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, noted that he is pleased to meet with the newly appointed Ambassador of Chile to Uzbekistan, Eduardo Escobar.

During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to reduce the distance between the two countries by exploring new and promising areas of cooperation.

"During the meeting, we emphasized the importance of activating our relations, strengthening business ties, and establishing new formats of cooperation, including inter-parliamentary dialogue, joint trade commissions, and much more," - the Minister of Foreign Affairs noted in his Telegram channel.
