Edinson Cavani double sends Portugal home

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uruguay clinched a 2-1 victory over Portugal in last 16 and secured a spot in the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Russia.

Edison Cavani scored one goal in each half to help his team to advance to next stage of the tournament. Pepe was on target for Portugal.

Uruguay will face France I the quarter-finals of the World Cup on 6 July in Nizhny Novgorod.
