It is planned, in particular, to determine the economic potential of SCO countries and prospects for investment cooperation of Russia and SCO countries in the development of the innovation economy. The forum participants also intend to analyse the state anti-crisis policy of countries of the “Shanghai six.”
The forum will be held for two days. On its results the participants will adopt recommendations to the governments of the SCO member states.
The SCO is a sub-regional international organisation bringing together six states - Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The SCO observer status is given to Mongolia, India, Iran and Pakistan. The next SCO summit will be held in Yekaterinburg on 15-16 June 2009.
