Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 14 January at 05:43 local time, an earthquake occurred in Bukhara region of Uzbekistan.
According to the Republican Center for Seismological Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the epicenter was located in the Karakul district, at coordinates 40.28°N latitude and 63.07°E longitude.
The earthquake had a magnitude of 4, with a depth of 10 km.
The epicenter is located 529 km southwest of Tashkent.
In the areas closest to the epicenter, ground tremors were recorded at a magnitude of 2: in Peshku district, 44 km from the epicenter, and in Karakul district, 56 km from the epicenter.
