E-government courses start in Uzbek capital
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first educational courses on introducing and effective functioning of the electronic government system opened at the educational center “Electronic government” of Tashkent University of Information Technologies. The courses were organized for employees of the state bodies.

Uzbekistan carries out gradual work on creation of complexes of information systems and data base of the electronic government system.

The educational center “Electronic government” was created at Tashkent University of Information Technologies to train specialists of the state bodies in e-government, UzA reported.

Within the operation of the center, it organized the educational center “Electronic government”. Currently, 850 people from 68 ministries and departments applied to participate in the courses.

The report said that the center attracted high skilled specialists to hold the course, including foreign specialists. The center attracted South Korean specialists to develop e-government educational course.

Some 38 people participated in the first seminar, organized in form of video conference. Over 250 representatives of the state bodies underwent distance education.

At the seminar, it was noted that the electronic government system will serve to improving interaction between the state bodies and population and between the state bodies and the enterprises.

The participants familiarized with information on introduction of the e-government and Single Portal of the interactive state services – my.gov.uz.
