Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A Government resolution “On Additional Measures for the Effective Use and Development of Tourism Potential of the Samarkand Region” was adopted.

According to the resolution, from 1 October 2019, land plots in the city of Samarkand, with the exception of territories included in the UNESCO list, are provided to individuals and legal entities for the construction of hotels through an online auction on the E-IJRO AUKSION trading platform.

Also, tourist infrastructure with the involvement of private investors is organized in 2019-2021 along University Boulevard, I. Karimov, A. Navoi and Pushkin Streets of Samarkand.

In accordance with the resolution:

- the gardens of Amir Timur “Gods of the Balands” and “Gods of Shamol” will be recreated by determining the location of the gardens and restoring their historical appearance;

- restoration of the archaeological monuments “Sheroz Kala, Dobusiya”, Revdatsky town - Kofir Kala, Afrosiab in coordination with UNESCO will be carried out;

- Open-air museums will be organized on the territory of archaeological sites with the introduction of electronic visitor accounting systems.

It has been established that from 1 October 2019, during the tourist season (March – November), the Registan complex will operate from 7:00 to 24:00 every day.
