Driving certain modes of transport temporarily do not require a driver’s license

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Resolution of the President “On measures for the further development of goods delivery services” was adopted.

According to the Resolution, the requirement for mandatory possession of a driver’s license will be suspended until 1 January 2024 for driving:

two- or three-wheeled vehicles with a maximum design speed of not more than 50 kilometers per hour, a working volume of an internal combustion engine of not more than 50 cm3 or an electric motor with a rated (installed) power of more than 0.25 kilowatts and less than 4 kilowatts;

including mopeds, quadricycles (quad bikes), tricycles, scooters, and other mechanical devices adapted for movement on the carriageway with exactly the same characteristics.

At the same time, persons traveling on these vehicles must be wearing a fastened motorcycle helmet.

Also, the delivery of goods on the basis of order (except for freight transport) is included in the type of activity that can be carried out by self-employed persons (previously, the type of activity that can be carried out by self-employed persons was considered the delivery of goods to individuals using personal transport).
