DPRK U-17 Team Withdraws from AFC Asian Cup

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The DPRK national U-17 team, which had previously been drawn in the same group as Uzbekistan, will not take part in the AFC Asian Cup. The withdrawal became known on the eve of the tournament’s start.

Following the change in participants, Uzbekistan’s U-17 team will begin its group stage campaign on May 10 with a match against India. The second match is scheduled for May 13, when Uzbekistan will face Australia.

As a result, Group D will now consist of three teams: Uzbekistan, Australia, and India.
