Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan national team secured another medal at the Youth World Weightlifting Championship, held in León, Spain.

Competing in the 89 kg weight category, Diyorbek Ermatov claimed the gold medal.

Ermatov achieved the best result in the snatch, lifting 162 kg, which secured him first place and the top spot on the podium. However, in the clean and jerk, he faced some challenges, managing to lift 186 kg, placing fifth in that category.

Overall, with a total of 348 kg from both exercises, Ermatov finished in fourth place.
