Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Advisor to the Minister of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan, Jasur Karshibaev, met with representatives of the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) delegation, led by Takuyuki Sato, Executive Director of JBIC for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

The main topic of discussion was the implementation of infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan within the framework of public-private partnerships.

The meeting participants analyzed the current projects supported by JBIC and discussed ways to implement new initiatives aimed at the development of key sectors of the economy and the country's infrastructure.

Particular attention was given to the development of projects focused on sustainable development, particularly in the field of the "green" economy.

The meeting also addressed the expansion of bilateral cooperation in new mutually beneficial areas. The Japanese side expressed interest in further participation in the implementation of public-private partnership projects in Uzbekistan and confirmed its readiness to actively cooperate to achieve common goals.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of joint efforts to implement strategic initiatives aimed at sustainable economic growth in Uzbekistan and expressed their readiness to develop and strengthen multifaceted cooperation.
