Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Sunnatilla Gaipov has been appointed as Acting Director of Urgench International Airport.

The Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airports signed the relevant order. Sunnatilla Gaipov began work on 15 November.

Sunatilla Gaipov, a graduate of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, has worked for about 20 years in various positions at Uzbekistan Airways. In recent years, he has been an air carrier representative in Amritsar (India) and an assistant representative in Delhi.

In May of this year, the previous director of the airport was relieved of his post by the decision of the management. The first deputy chairman of the board for operations, Javlonbek Umarkhodjaev, acted as the temporary director of the airport.
