Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 2 to 4 October, Bishkek hosted a meeting of tax officials from CIS countries, focusing on the theme "Digital Technologies for VAT." The main objective of the meeting was to address challenges related to VAT and explore solutions to overcome them.
Uzbekistan’s delegation actively participated in the discussions. Key topics included digital data exchange, automation of tax processes, online payments, and other technological innovations. Participants also proposed the development of new intergovernmental documents aimed at strengthening tax cooperation among CIS countries.
Uzbekistan plans to actively implement digital solutions for VAT to make its tax system more user-friendly and transparent.
The next CIS tax officials meeting is scheduled to take place in Russia in the second half of 2025.
