Members and MPs of UzLiDeP, representatives of Uzbektourism, Hunarmand, tourism organizations and insurance companies participated in the event.

It was noted that Uzbektourism was founded in 1992 to develop tourism and improve management of the sector. The law “On tourism” was also adopted in Uzbekistan, which sets rights and liabilities of tourism organizations on security, insurance, services to tourists, etc.

According to the experts, in next ten years, share of the tourism in gross domestic product of Uzbekistan will grow by 6.2% in average and the country will be among top five countries on this figure.

At the event, the participants discussed issues of further developing tourism in Tashkent city and organization of tours to Tashkent sights, role of small businesses in the sector, export of tourism services, etc.
