Deutsche Kabel AG Tashkent to invest US$9m to modernize production capacities
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deutsche Kabel AG Tashkent, an Uzbek-German joint venture, will invest US$9 million to modernization of its capacities till the end of 2012.

Gazeta.uz reported that the enterprise will realize 10 projects till the end of 2010, which are directed to development of new cable products and launch their serial production. The company will finance the projects due to own resources.

The venture plans to launch production of domestic radio-frequency cable on the base of porous polyethylene with the capacity of 200 km. The edition said the enterprise will also launch production of firm drawn tyres and others.

It is also planned that the venture will launch molding production of rolled metal with the capacity of 3,500 tonnes from copper.

Deutsche Kabel AG Tashkent was founded in 1999 on the base of Elektrosignal. The enterprise produces cable and wire products. Germany’s Falk-Porsche-Technik GmbH owns 95.6% in the enterprise.
