Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential resolution “On measures to accelerate the construction of the Chimgan international all-season resort” was adopted.

On 22 November 2022, an Agreement was signed on the implementation of the attraction of borrowed funds in the amount of €47.9 million between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the French Republic.

As collateral for a loan allocated by National Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the amount of US$20 million, equipment purchased under the Project by the state unitary enterprise Project Office for the Construction and Operation of the International All-Season Resort Beldersay-Chimgan-Nanai was determined.

On the basis of the Labor Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, goods purchased by legal entities within the framework of projects financed in full or in part by funds (loans, credits) of international financial institutions and foreign government financial organizations in accordance with international treaties of Uzbekistan are provided with tariff benefits in the form of exemption from customs duty.

It was also instructed to ensure the coverage (refund) of the resulting amount of VAT in an expedited manner.

Transport organizations, under agreements concluded with the Project Office, are exempted from fees for entry into the customs territory of Uzbekistan and fees for the passage of heavy and oversized vehicles on public roads.

The project office, general contractors and design organizations are allowed to place goods, equipment and inventory imported into Uzbekistan in the warehouses of contractors, with their registration in the customs regime "customs warehouse".
