Deputy school director arrested in Namangan for selling exam answers
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The State Security Service of Uzbekistan (SSS) has detained a deputy director of a public school in Namangan, suspected of extorting money in exchange for exam answers.
According to investigators, the suspect planned to provide questions and answers for a national certification exam in Chemistry and Biology, which grants university admission benefits.
He allegedly demanded US$20,000 for his services, with the answers set to be delivered by his associates.
The suspect was caught red-handed while receiving US$8,000 and 156 million soums.
A criminal case has been opened under Article 168, Part 4(a) of the Criminal Code ("Fraud"), and an investigation is ongoing.
