Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 March, Deputy Governor of Tashkent, Head of the Department of Investment, Industry and Trade Sharof Rakhmanov met with a delegation led by Deputy Governor of Sichuan Province of the People’s Republic of China Zuo Yunxiang.

Zuo Yunxiang noted that trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and China is developing rapidly, and the volume of mutual trade is increasing. He also emphasized expanding opportunities for cooperation between cities in the fields of the chemical industry, transport, tourism, education and science.

Sharof Rakhmanov expressed gratitude for the visit and reported on the rapid development of a favorable investment environment in tourism, business, engineering, industry and other areas. He emphasized that friendly relations are a solid basis for mutually beneficial cooperation.

Following the meeting, a trade and economic conference was held with the participation of business circles of the two countries.

A presentation was made on the investment environment of Uzbekistan and the city of Tashkent, changes in the electrical industry, the pace of development and promising projects.

During dialogues with representatives of Chinese enterprises, cargo transportation and automobile manufacturing enterprises, promising opportunities and proposals for cooperation were discussed.
